Always check your local stores websites for multiple ways to save, and even get some supplies for free.  The following merchants/websites offer wonderful coupons and deals. You should even sign up for the rewards programs.

A few good mobile apps to download and use are RetailMeNot and Ibotta.  Check them out!


These can get a bit costly, but there is always a way to stay frugal and still purchase name brand clothing.  Department stores are always offering exciting incentives.  Below are a few of our favorite department stores to visit.  Thrift stores are always good, and you can purchase name brand, like new clothing for half the price.  Consignment shops are always a good place to visit as well.


Always check with your school and see if they offer any type of assistance with school uniforms.  Some schools will sell gently used uniforms at very affordable prices.

Check with your school policy and see if your family qualifies for free or reduced lunches.

Check with local organizations such a Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA.  Both offer great before and after school care and some even offer transportation.  Both places have a membership fee but they can be reduced and are on a sliding scale.

Talk with neighborhood parents about how their children get to school.  If the children ride a bus, then form a buddy system between the students and the parents.  You can also see if carpooling is an option in your neighborhood. If the children walk to school, form a buddy system with the students and make sure all children have the phone numbers of the parents your child walks to school with.
